How They Met: A Love Story at 30,000 Feet

Talk about serendipity! Brian & Minnie met on a Jetstar flight to Sydney. Minnie turned around to confront Brian’s tall friend John, who was unknowingly kneeing her seat. Instead, she locked eyes with Brian, a cheeky Brit who’d had a couple of Pale Ales and was cool as ever.

His smooth move? Asking Minnie to list Sydney highlights in his phone – and leave her number. One breakfast date later, sparks flew. Fast-forward to their heartfelt ceremony, full of VIP guests, happy tears, and non-stop joy.

Wedding Day Vibes:

Despite a minor hiccup (the groom’s ride almost not showing up!), the entire day flowed like a dream.

The crowd was ready to party.
The love between Brian & Minnie was palpable.
The celebration? Absolutely next level.

Look up the definition of ‘Bees Knees for Celebrants’ in the dictionary and you will fin Ben Carlyle’s name!! From our first meeting with Ben we knew he was the humble soul to officiate our special day. He is so relaxed and modest. You will not leave a meeting with Ben without a huge smile on your face. His positive, loving vibes are contagious and he brought these, plus some for our wedding day. He took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for our ceremony. He kept it unique, representing us perfectly!

He took Brain for a surf the morning of the wedding to chill him out and kept me laughing as I waited in the limo for my late groom. He kept our ceremony casual and light, exactly what we wanted. He interacted with our guests, so many thought he was a close a close friend of ours. Ben has a way of keeping you very present in those imperative moments. He made it feel like it was just us three and not the 100+ guests watching us declare our love to the world. Ben knew exactly what to say to us prior and during the ceremony to kill off our butterflies and to remind us what we were doing!

Ben would just ride the waves of our ceremony with us, laughing at anything that wasn’t going to plan, adding more jokes to make us all just laugh it off.

Ben you were everything Brian and I had envisioned, thank you for everything. If you’re about to get married, snatch Ben up quick he will not be a disappointment!!
