Do you charge travel as a Marriage Celebrant?
There are no travel fees to have Ben at your Byron Bay, Tweed Coast or Gold Coast Wedding. Benjamin is a modern, upbeat Male Marriage Celebrant based in Pottsville — just a cruisy 30-minute drive north of Byron Bay and north are the Gold Coast wedding venues. He’s often on the road, suited up, bow tie on, and ready to hold the space with his signature calm, grounded and modern energy.
As a regular Marriage Celebrant, Ben is no stranger to the region’s most-loved venues. You’ll often find him at Fig Tree Restaurant in Ewingsdale, Beach Byron Bay at Clarkes Beach, and the breathtaking Gold Coast hinterland favourites of The Valley Estate and Cowbell Creek. Do you provide a PA and play the Ceremony Music?
Yes, I have an awesome Bose S1 Pro PA, Sennheiser wireless mic, Bluetooth music, suitable up to ~150 guests, perfect as a Marriage Celebrant:
- It’s battery powered
- Has a fabulous Seinheiser Wireless Microphone system
- We can bluetooth a Phone / Device to my PA to play the music in the ceremony.
- This PA is great for a Byron Bay ceremony up to 150 guests.
- Everyone will hear clearly what is happening in the ceremony.
- Your ceremony tunes will sound amazing
Yes, I will co-ordinate the playing of your Pre-Ceremony and Ceremony music if you do not have a Live Musician. That saves any of your guests needing to take on that roll and they can soak up all the magic of your Wedding Ceremony.
How do we get Legally Married in Australia?
To make your marriage legal in Australia, we complete a few key steps:
- Lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least 30 days before your ceremony
- Show valid ID (passport or birth cert + photo ID)
- Bring 2 witnesses over 18 to the ceremony
- Exchange the legally required words
- Sign your Marriage Certificates
- I submit all documents to Births, Deaths & Marriages (BDM) for official registration
- You’re then legally Married, off you head into your Married life.

How to Book Ben and what are his Marriage Celebrant Fees?

- You can book me straight away or we can organise a Video Chat or Coffee to connect.
- To lock in your ceremony time and date, a $500 non-refundable Booking Fee is required.
- The balance is due 2 months before your wedding.
