What a ride! Alana & Dan’s epic The Earth House wedding had all the feels — drama, laughs, sunshine (yes, really), and a packed dance floor.
Despite a week of heavy rain and a 100% chance of showers, we told the weather to fork off — and it listened! Just long enough for 100 of their closest humans to gather beneath the venue’s iconic fig tree for a ceremony full of confetti, happy tears, and full-body cheers.
I joked we should all visualise Dan strutting the beach in a mankini. It worked — the clouds cleared, the mood lifted, and the vibe was off the charts. Alana & Dan’s energy was contagious, and by all reports, the party kicked on into the night in true Byron style.
They tied the knot just two days before the floods hit, making it not only a celebration, but a deeply lucky one. And with a cracker team of vendors on deck, it was pure magic – rain, hail or shine.

Their Love Story
High school sweethearts with a twist.
She thought he was a skater punk. He thought she had great legs. Teachers weren’t sure it’d last — but look at them now. After years, adventures, and an epic trip to the US, Dan proposed on Christmas Day in NYC during a $25 Kris Kringle swap. A box inside a box, a knee drop, and Alana saying, “This better not be a joke!” – it was magic
